One year later.... Emma is TWO!!
I apologize for being so absent this past year and several months, but our lives -- and our daughter's -- have kept us quite busy! Last June we moved from Brooklyn to New Jersey, and then back to Brooklyn this past February. During that time Emma learned how to walk, talk, run, sing, dance, "swim," and much much more. Here are some recent pictures of our beautiful, spirited, vibrant, wild child.

One year...
Tomorrow is Emma's birthday. We can't believe it. How is it possible that it's been a year? Last year tonight I didn't know that I would go into labor three weeks before my due date. I didn't know that in the morning, I would "wake up" with a baby girl. And I didn't know that in a year that tiny baby would grow into a little girl whose entire face lights up when she smiles. We love this child more than we ever thought possible and that love grows every day.

Making up for lost (blogging) time
February and March have flown by. Here are some highlights of the last of the winter months, complete with Emma looking cute in her headband, her first sledding excursion in Prospect Park, swinging at the beach, hanging with her baby friends, and finally her very first pair of real shoes. Still yet to be worn. Enjoy!

On the move!
Emma is crawling! It all happened at the beach house on March 10th with a few forward movements that quickly escalated into full fledged motoring. Her favorite things to crawl towards? Water bottles and cell phones. Ha!

Emma has a secret...
TOOTH!!!!
A few days ago Emma was fussier than usual and not eating very well - a sure sign that something was wrong. This kid loves to eat, pretty much anything. Steven noticed a little slit in her bottom gum and the drool was pouring out of her mouth. FINALLY after months of people saying, "oh she must be teething" she actually was! It took eight, nearly nine months, but our baby is getting her first tooth. You still can't see much, but Steven and I can feel something very sharp poking through. In a few days maybe we'll have a picture for you, but until then, enjoy this cute sleeping smile from June. A lot has changed since then!
