So Tired...

Sleep is scarce these days, especially for the mama of a milk monster! Yesterday we busted out the pump and Steven got to feed her for the first time, which was very sweet, though it sure went fast. Emma wasn't used to the bottle and the milk was dripping down her little chin.

After all her feedings, her belly grew to an abnormal size!

Emma finally got a shot in her bouncer. Luckily Pixel didn't get too jealous.

This photo is one she will probably hate us for posting when she is old enough to know about it. Steven insisted on adding the gold chain. We think she looks like a little Italian mobster.

40 Weeks

Today is Emma's due date, but no one told her that. It's hard to believe tomorrow is her three week birthday. Time goes fast in babytown. Except for some nights which can feel awfully long. Check out the funny hair-do her daddy gave her.

Miss Popularity

We can't get enough of this kid. Here are some pictures from the last few days, including her first outing in the Moby wrap. She is such a cute little beanpod, I can't stand it.

First Picnic!

Emma had her first picnic today in Prospect Park. She slept through most of it except waking up briefly to eat. She's a great little eater, which is a good thing - she's almost back to her birth weight after only one week! Her pediatrician was very pleased as were we. One week ago

Yesterday marked Emma Sosie's one week birthday! In honor of that very special occasion, we're posting some pictures taken by our doula soon after her delivery. One of these days I'll write down her birth story, which was as close to perfect as possible, but until then, enjoy these photos. Check out that head of hair!

Visitation Mania!

Emma is one popular kid and we understand why :) Here are some pictures the day of her big debut. We had two costume changes, the first outfit, a sweet girly onesie (a gift from our friend Jill) lasted until Emma had her first diaper meltdown, peeing twice during a changing! The second was more of tough girl look, wearing what my dad calls her "I-work-on-the-docks" hat. Her daddy picked out both outfits.

May 1st Boxer Series

It's six a.m. as I write this. Another mostly sleepless night, but wonderful because I got to stare at my baby and watch her grow. Sure, I could (should) be sleeping, but then you wouldn't have these pictures, would you?
